Requirements for Attestation of various Documents

  • In most cases, the applicant’s presence along with the original documents is mandatory.
  • Working hours of the Attestation department are Monday to Thursday 08 am to 02 pm and on Friday 08am to 12 pm. Please note that working hours may differ on public holidays or during Ramadan.

  • Photocopy and typing facilities are available at the consulate premises.
  • Most documents are required to be attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs,Pakistan,and can be attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs office in Islamabad, andit’s camp offices in all the provincial capitals, i.e., Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar, and Quetta.
  • Cash or credit cards may be used to pay the attestation fee at the counter.

1. Power of Attorney (PoA)
  • Applicant’s presence in person
  • 2 copies of the typed application of POA
  • Original Passport/NICOP
  • One Photocopy of the passport
  • Two recent passport-size photographs with white background
  • Passport with resident visa/Emirates ID
  • Copy of CNIC of Attorney

Note: In the case of the deceased parent’s property POA, a Photocopy of the succession certificate is mandatory.

2. Educational certificates issued by Boards of Intermediate & Secondary Education (BISE):
  • Applicant’s presence in person
  • Original Certificate duly attested by Inter Board Committee of Chairman (IBCC)and Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) Pakistan
  • One Photocopy of the certificate
  • Only Blood Relatives can get the attestation of the Degree on behalf of applicant.
  • In Case the person or his blood relative is not present in the residing country, he will give Authority letter To Any Other Person, and it should be Attested from Ministry of foreign Affairs Pakistan / Pakistan Missions Abroad.

3. Certificates of technical skills issued by institutions in Pakistan:
  • Applicant’s presence in person
  • Original Certificate duly attested by the local technical board, National Vocational & Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC),and Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) Pakistan
  • One Photocopy of the certificate
  • Only Blood Relatives can get the attestation of the Degree on behalf of applicant.
  • In Case the person or his blood relative is not present in the residing country, he will give Authority letter To Any Other Person, and it should be Attested from Ministry of foreign Affairs Pakistan / Pakistan Missions Abroad.

4. Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA) certificates:
  • Original Certificate duly attested by the British Council, ACCA, and Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) Pakistan
  • One Photocopy of the certificate
  • Only Blood Relatives can get the attestation of the Degree on behalf of applicant.
  • In Case the person or his blood relative is not present in the residing country, he will give Authority letter To Any Other Person, and it should be Attested from Ministry of foreign Affairs Pakistan / Pakistan Missions Abroad.

5. Result cards and certificates of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan:
  • Applicant’s presence in person
  • Original Certificate duly attested by the concerned authorized officer of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP), and Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) Pakistan
  • One Photocopy of the certificate
  • Only Blood Relatives can get the attestation of the Degree on behalf of applicant.
  • In Case the person or his blood relative is not present in the residing country, he will give Authority letter To Any Other Person, and it should be Attested from Ministry of foreign Affairs Pakistan / Pakistan Missions Abroad.

6. A’Level or O’Level certificates:
  • Applicant’s presence in person
  • Original Certificate duly attested by the British Council, and Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) Pakistan
  • 1 Photocopy of the certificate
  • Only Blood Relatives can get the attestation of the Degree on behalf of applicant.
  • In Case the person or his blood relative is not present in the residing country, he will give Authority letter To Any Other Person, and it should be Attested from Ministry of foreign Affairs Pakistan / Pakistan Missions Abroad.

7. Degrees issued by educational institutions or universities in Pakistan:
  • Applicant’s presence in person
  • Original Degree duly attested by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) and Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) Pakistan
  • 1 Photocopy of the Degree
  • Only Blood Relatives can get the attestation of the Degree on behalf of applicant.
  • In Case the person or his blood relative is not present in the residing country, he will give Authority letter To Any Other Person, and it should be Attested from Ministry of foreign Affairs Pakistan / Pakistan Missions Abroad.

8. Police Character Certificates
  • Applicant’s presence in person

  • Original Valid Driving License

10. Gift Undertaking
  • Applicant must be overseas Pakistani and can only gift the vehicle to their family/Blood Relatives.
  • Applicant’s presence is mandatory
  • Original Passport
  • One colored photocopy of the Passport
  • Colored Photocopies of all those pages having Exit/Entry stamps of Pakistan Airport to prove more than 700 days of stay abroad will be attested
  • Copy of CNIC to whom a vehicle is being gifted
  • Fee: AED 20/- per page for each page of the passport  Note:- Gift Undertaking Form will not be required any more.

11. Affidavits
  • Applicant’s physical presence is mandatory
  • 2 copies of typed application of affidavit
  • Original Passport or NICOP
  • 1 Photocopy of passport
  • 1 Photocopy of the Visa page or Emirates ID

12 Affidavit for Car Transfer:
  • Applicant’s physical presence is mandatory
  • 2 copies of typed application of Affidavit mentioning engine number, chassis number, and model number of the car

  • 1 Photocopy of Visa page or Emirates ID

Note: Applicant will submit manual biometrics at the Consulate

13 NOC/Authority Letter:
  • Applicant’s physical presence is mandatory
  • 2 copies of typed application of NOC or Authority letter
  • Original Passport or NICOP
  • 1 Photocopy of Passport or NICOP
  • 1 Photocopy of the Visa page or Emirates ID

Note: In the case of a NOC or authority letter for the passport of children, a copy of the birth certificate and marriage certificate is also required.

14 Relationship/Sponsorship Affidavit:
  • Applicant’s physical presence is mandatory
  • 2 copies of typed application of affidavit
  • Original Passport
  • 1 Photocopy of Passport or NICOP
  • 1 Photocopy of the Visa page or Emirates ID
  • Photocopy of passport and NIC of the person who needs sponsorship/relationship proof

Note: If the affidavit is a requirement of the UAE government/authorities, it needs to be in Arabic and English language side by side.

Marriage Registration Certificate (MRC),

Divorce Registration Certificate (DRC) and Birth Registration Certificates (BRC), etc.

  • Original MRC, DRC,or BRC certificate duly attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) Pakistan
  • The physical presence of any of the parents/couple

  • All documents issued by the UAE authorities are required to be attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of UAE first only then we can attest them.

  • All other categories of documents are examined on a case-to-case basis for attestation/counter-attestation.
