In his address, the Ambassador expressed his sincere appreciation to the hosts for the warm reception and termed the initiative a valuable opportunity to engage with members of the Pakistani community in the UAE. He underscored that Pakistan and the UAE enjoy a deep-rooted, multi-layered bilateral relationship spanning over five decades, characterized by cooperation and shared interests.

Hussain Muhammad, Consul General of Pakistan in Dubai, highlighted the importance of remittances and the contributions of overseas Pakistanis while addressing an event organized by Index Exchange in Dubai. The event marked the launch of the company’s upcoming Eid Al Adha Campaign, aimed at encouraging formal remittance flows. In his address, the Consul General appreciated Index Exchange for convening the event and providing a platform to deliberate on ways to strengthen, optimize, and secure remittance flows for the benefit of both senders and recipients. Highlighting the role of the Pakistani diaspora in the UAE, he described the community as a vital pillar of national strength. He noted that overseas Pakistanis have not only contributed meaningfully to the development of the host country but have also played a key role in supporting Pakistan’s economy.
The Consulate General of Pakistan in Dubai commemorated Pakistan’s National Day with a dignified ceremony attended by members of the Pakistani community and Consulate officials. H.E. Hussain Muhammad, Consul General of Pakistan, hoisted the national flag to mark the commencement of the proceedings. Messages from the President, Prime Minister, and Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister of Pakistan were read on the occasion. In his address, the Consul General extended warm felicitations on Pakistan Day, recalling the historic significance of March 23, 1940, when the Muslims of the subcontinent adopted the Pakistan Resolution, laying the foundation for an independent homeland. He noted that this defining moment ultimately led to the creation of Pakistan on August 14, 1947.
H.E. Hussain Muhammad, Consul General of Pakistan in Dubai, along with Community Welfare Attachés Mr. Imran Shahid and Mr. Junaid Murtaza, visited Rashid Hospital to inquire about the health and well-being of Pakistani nationals who were injured due to falling debris following the interception of incoming missiles in Dubai.
H.E. Hussain Muhammad, Consul General, along with officers of the Consulate, held an online meeting with members of the Pakistani community from Dubai and the Northern Emirates to brief them on the measures taken by the Government of Pakistan for the facilitation of overseas Pakistanis due to the evolving regional situation. During the meeting, the Consul General apprised the participants of the steps undertaken by Pakistan Embassy Abu Dhabi and the Consulate General of Pakistan in Dubai under the directions of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif. He informed the community members about the establishment of a Special Facilitation Desk, including 24/7 helplines, to assist Pakistani diaspora members in the UAE as well as Pakistanis in transit.
The meeting, held at the Consulate General of Pakistan, provided an opportunity to discuss matters of mutual interest and to explore avenues for enhancing bilateral cooperation between the two countries.

The initiative aimed to raise awareness among community members, acknowledge their contributions to Pakistan’s economy, and share Iftar with them during the holy month of Ramadan.
